The Imperial Berkey is a great model for large families (Between 6-10 people) with large water consumption. The Imperial Berkey comes with 2 Black Berkey Filters (3,000-gal filter capacity per filter or 6,000 gal for the pair) but can support up to 6 filter cartridges.

The Imperial Berkey was designed for larger families, and to meet the needs of larger groups. Group functions at churches, schools, parties and many other functions sometimes require larger water consumption needs, and the Imperial Berkey fits this need perfectly. This larger unit will eliminate the need to purchase and use multiple smaller units to meet your larger group needs.
The larger diameter of this design has allowed the addition of extra filters into this unit. This extra space will allow up to 6 Black Berkey filters the proper space they need to filter out larger amounts of water and as such are able to filter up to 16 gallons of water per hour.
